This incentive is available for the installation of oxygen trim controls, also known as oxygen burner controls. These controls measure oxygen levels and adjust air and fuel intake levels accordingly to maximize combustion efficiency.

Required Documentation:
o Boiler input capacity verification (e.g., nameplate, specs).
o It is recommended to collect boiler loading data documenting year-round operation and typical part loading throughout the year for university and hospital boilers. Also, to prove year-round operation.
• Applicability: Eligible for retrofit, equipment replacement, and new construction projects.
• Baseline Efficiency: No O2 trim control.
• Exclusions:
o Redundant boilers.
o Oxygen controls required by EPA guidelines.
o Boilers primarily used for domestic hot water or pool or spa.
• Other requirements:
o Process boilers must operate year-round, and HVAC boilers are utilized only during the heating season.
o University and hospital boilers, even those providing space heating, are considered process boilers.
o Existing boilers must currently operate on/off with no modulation.
